Final Drafts
After we revised our final draft facts with purple pen we began to write our FINAL FACT PAGES for our books! Going slow and using our best hand writing will help teach others about our animals. We used our vocabulary word wall and stretched out sounds, using our best guess spelling.
Non-Fiction Illustrations
| Every fact needs an illustration. Kiddos looked in books and used their iPads to remind them selves of all the details on their animals while they added illustrations to their pages. |
Life Size Animals
We began drawing the outline of our life size animals. By looking closely at pictures, Ms. Justine helped the group measure the height and length. They then started with the head while others in the group drew the back, legs, tails and added some details to the face. Some of the animals ended up with one to many legs or an extra large leg. :)
After the kiddos looked at their worked they quickly realized they had made a mistake and will go bad and create a more accurate model. During this project we want to focus on the process not the product. During this time the kiddos practice working in groups, giving and receiving directions and learn how to collaborate and cooperate!

Our Continued Learning
We have continued reading books, we reflected on on our individual behaviors during class, from those behaviors we set goals, we played math games and some friends took on the math challenge!
