Last Day of School Picnic and Early Release at 2:40!
- We will be celebrating the last day of school with an all kindergarten picnic at Trolley Hill Park! We will be walking to the park around 11:30 and heading back to school by 1:00. Parents are more than welcome to come and have lunch with us. I hope to see many of you at our picnic lunch on Friday, but if I don't have a chance to say goodbye, please know that it has been a joy to work with you all this year. I wish you a summer filled with exploration, and relation.
Please send your student with a sack lunch this Friday!

All About African Animals and the PBL Showcase!
We had such a great and busy week finalizing all our hard work that has gone into this amazing project! The whole class collaborated and made a lioness, grass and the nights backdrop for the African Savanna. Friends worked hard cutting out their animals and hanging them on the second floor of the treehouse for display so visitors were actually in the savanna!
Thanks to all of you who came to QAE's 3rd Annual Project Based Learning Showcase on Thursday evening! What an amazing celebration of learning it was! I always enjoy this event, not only because it gives our kindergartners a chance to share their learning with the whole school, but also because it give all of us a chance to see the amazing learning that is happening in every grade at QAE.
It truly is a night to come together and showcase all of our learning and continue to learn form one another! I was in "AH" by the excitement and proud energy that was radiating from the kiddos.
After they shared their books, families went upstairs to see the African Savanna and the sense of pride from all of kindergarten was radiating.
I was able to stand back and watch and truly take in all the hard work, the successes and struggles that came from working collaboratively. It was amazing to hear the kiddos teach others.
If you were not able to make it, please log into Seesaw, view, comment and like all of the collaborative All About books! Unfortunately Weebly does not support the digital books.

QAE Book Beach!
A little rain did not stop us! As the sprinkles fell we headed out to the Book Beach to meet our 3rd grade reading buddies. We had so much fun on our beach towels with our shades and a great book. It was so fun being surrounded by fellow book buddies and reading with QAE. Thank you to the beautiful reading committee for putting together this great event!
